Sponsored by the fund’s British affiliate

The British affiliate of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund once again provided assistance to rural communities in Armenia, this time around presenting packages of stationery and school bags for the forthcoming academic year, which starts in September, to 105 students in the villages of Tsghuk, Tasik, and Aghitu of the Syunik Region.

Village residents gathered around to share the great joy of the schoolchildren as they opened their gifts. No less joyous were the parents, who expressed gratitude for the assistance and said it has relieved them of a big burden. Touched by the surprise presents, Roza, a grandmother of four grandchildren, said that even the slightest assistance provided to her community would be appreciated, since what ultimately matter are the concern and attention shown by benefactors.

Anahit Ghazarian of the fund’s British affiliate, who had traveled from London to personally distribute the gifts, promised to convey the excitement and warm words of the recipients to our compatriots in Great Britain.

In the past 11 years, the fund’s British affiliate has provided assistance to some 2,200 schoolchildren in Armenia’s Shirak, Tavush, Aragatsotn, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik regions.
