Khashtarak Health Center was first established in the 1970s. The original resign, however, lacked indoor bathrooms as well as a centralized heating system. Due to years of neglect and lack of maintenance the structure which consisted of 13 rooms with a total area of 323 sq meters was no longer usable as a Health Care center. The Center, however, was structurally safe.
Armenia Fund reconstructed the entire Health Care Center, adding bathrooms and a new heating system with a stand alone boiler house. All doors, windows, flooring, roofing, electrical system and water system were replaced. The Center is fully furnished and equipped.
