| Surviving the grueling heat, Massis cycles his way to Montreal |
Toronto, Canada - On Sunday, July 29, 2007, Massis Kesisian of Toronto, Canada started a benefit bike tour from Toronto to Montreal to raise funds for the Baroness Caroline Cox School in Nagorno Karabakh. The school is funded through the generous support of Armenia Fund’s Canadian affiliate in Toronto.
Massis started his bike tour from the Holy Trinity Church and AGBU Genocide Memorial in Toronto. A large group of supporters from the community were at hand to cheer Massis’ long journey to Montreal. Also present at the event was the Chairman of Armenia Fund Canada (Toronto) affiliate, Migirdich Migirdichian.

On August 8, 2007, after 600 hot and grueling kilometers (373 miles), Massis entered Montreal under torrential rain and hail, and at 8:20 pm arrived at the finish line, safe and sound. Massis transited through various cities including Morrisburg and St. Zotique, Quebec. He completed his tour at the St. Gregory Armenian Church of Montreal.
Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Antranik Shirinyan, Chairman of Armenia Fund Canada (Montreal) affiliate, and a large group of Montrealers welcomed Massis to the finish line.
Massis Kesisian was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. As a teenager and in his early twenties, he was an avid tennis player and instructor. Massis has always enjoyed cycling and as he became more serious about it, he decided to challenge himself to riding from Toronto to Montreal. Massis graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and minoring in finance. Upon graduation, Massis started to work at Scotiabank as a business analyst in Finance and has since moved on to a position as a Manager of strategic and financial planning.
