Los Angeles, CA – Armenia Fund U.S. Western Region and Armenia Fund–Toronto, Canada, two major affiliates of “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund in the Western Hemisphere together launched “Armenia Fund Bike Ride 2008”. This special fundraising event, sponsored by the two affiliates, was a bicycle ride from Monterey, CA to Los Angeles, CA, spanning more than 350 miles (555km) along the breathtaking California coast.

Los Angeles, CA – Armenia Fund launched its 11th International Telethon campaign. On Friday, October 10, Armenia Fund’s long time supporters and donors gathered at the residence of Mr. Armen Khachatourian and Mrs. Maria Mehranian to unveil the 2008 Telethon logo. Present at the special dinner reception was the former President of Nagorno Karabakh Republic, H.E. Arkady Ghoukassian.

Los Angeles, CA – Armenia Fund launched its 10th International Telethon campaign on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Glendale’s Alex Theatre Forecourt. The special event has been a tradition for the past four years and features the unveiling of the Telethon’s logo.

Telethon 2005

Los Angeles, CA – On Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2005, Armenia Fund, Inc. along with its global affiliates reached out to millions of viewers in the United States and around the world during the 8th Annual Armenia Fund Telethon. The live 12 hour program originated from Los Angeles, California and was delivered to nearly all Armenian communities across the globe via satellite and high power stations. During the 2005 Telethon, Armenia Fund and its worldwide affiliates were able to raise more than $7.77 million.
Gala 2005

Los Angeles, CA – On November 18, 2005, Armenia Fund held its
annual gala at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in
Los Angeles. The event’s guest of honor was
H.E. Arkady Ghoukasian, President of the Republic
of Nagorno Karabakh, and the keynote
speaker was H.E. Vartan Oskanian, Minister of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Also
in attendance was Mrs. Naira Melkoumian, Executive
Director of “Hayastan” All-Armenian
Fund. The evening was graciously emceed by
Terry Phillips, network correspondent of National
Public Radio, NBC, and CBS. More than $50,500 was raised for the Martakert
Regional Hospital during the event.

ceremony and reception on Wednesday,
September 14, at the Casa Adobe de San Rafael in
Glendale, California.
The logo as well as the Telethon’s theme, “Build a
New Horizon,” were created by local graphic artist
Helena Gregorian.
Telethon 2004 Raises Over $11 million

Glendale, CA – Telethon 2004, airing live from Glendale Studios in Glendale, California, was a 12-hour event broadcasted throughout the United States, Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Armenia. Telethon 2004’s goal was to raise funds to complete the remaining 52 miles of the North-South “Backbone” Highway in Karabakh. Upon completion, the $25 million, 105-mile highway will link 150 towns and villages and provide crucial economic, trade and development opportunities.

Glendale, CA – Armenia Fund, Inc. officially launched activities for its annual fundraising event – Telethon 2004 Make It Happen – at a kick-off celebration on Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Glendale Studios in Glendale, California. The kick-off brought together prominent members of the Armenian-American Diaspora, as well as elected officials from throughout California. The event also marked the unveiling of Telethon 2004’s “Make It Happen” logo/theme created by renowned Los Angeles artist Vahé Fattal.
New Armenia Fund Initiative
Called "Adopt-a-Project in Armenia"

Los Angeles, CA – Over $79,000 was raised during a Los Angeles event on June 17, 2004. The event launched a new Armenia Fund initiative called “Adopt-a-Project in Armenia.” The event was organized to honor 120 generous supporters and friends of Armenia Fund at the Khatchadourian residence. The Executive Director of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, Naira Melkoumian briefed the donors as well as reported on the progress of the North-South Highway in Nagorno Karabakh and pre-sented upcoming programs.
